Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. - significado (meaning)
(laughing)
Feel Good (x8)
City's breaking down on a camel's back
They'll just have to go coz they don't know wack
So all ya fill the streets it's appealing to see
And you won't get undercounted cause you're damn ass free
(Feel Good Inc. is the tower of babel/Soddom/Gomorrah, or in other words a place of hedonism and excess.)
(The city is on the brink of coming down by excesses, even though everyone is free...)
You got a new horizon it's an ephemeral style
In a melancholy town where we never smile
And all I want to hear is the message beep
My dreams they come a kissin' cause I don't get sleep, no
(What the guy's talking about here is Feel Good Inc. and how everyone there is bound to it, how it isn't bringing him happiness through material things, and how he suffers.) (... but there is an escape ... )
(See here how there's the 'beep' he's waiting for, on the beginning of the 'dreamy place'...)
Windmill windmill for the land
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is ticking, fallin' down
Love forever love is free
Let’s Turn forever you and me
windmill windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
(The dream comes in, a place where he'll be happy to escape Feel Good Inc. Which is, of course, the windmill, where there is no hedonism, just peace. This is due because if you think of the floating island, it's small, has one person, and a windmill which probably reminds you of rural areas.)
Laughing Gas, these Hazmats, Fast Cats,
lining them up like ass cracks
Ladies, homies, at the track
It's my chocolate attack
Shit I'm stepping in hotter this year
Care bear reppin' it harder this year
Watch me as I gravitate hahahaha
(Here the "navigator/captain/rapper" makes fun of him for wanting to leave, he is also making fun of his melancholic music style as well. Another symbolism here is the fact he's a rapper/captain/navigator, {...} "navigating" people in the wrong direction into hedonism.)
Gonna ghost town
This Motown
With your sound you're in the blink
Going to bite the dust
Can't fight with us
With your sound you kill the inc.
So don't stop get it, get it
Until you jet ahead
And watch the way I navigate hahaha haha
Windmill windmill for the land
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is ticking, fallin' down
Love forever love is free
Turn forever you and me
windmill windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
Dont stop, get it, get it
we are your captains in it
steady,
watch me navigate,
hahaha haha
Dont stop, get it, get it
we are your captains in it
steady, watch me navigate

Tal vez no sea el significado exacto, o incluso el correcto, pero dadas las interpretaciones dadas en esta página, es a lo mejor que le encuentro...

pretty good analysis.
What do you think about this:
To see a windmill in a dream (dreams they come a kissing cause I don't get no sleep) is foretelling of wealth and happiness.
also,
Orwell used a windmill as a symbol of the economy in Animal Farm.
Maybe the windmill isn't a sign of innocence or peace. What do you think?

I mean, I do agree with you about the verses. There is definately a surreal picture of a city that is using temporary things to make them happy.
